Return & Refund Policy

At Rasa Mula Studio, every piece is curated with intention — handcrafted, handpicked, and rooted in the heritage of diverse Indian traditions. Because many of our items are vintage, artisanal, or one-of-a-kind, our return and refund guidelines are crafted to respect both the maker’s craft and your experience with our studio.
Please read the policy carefully before placing an order.

1. Eligibility for Returns

Due to the unique and handcrafted nature of our products, we accept returns only under the following conditions:

✔ Returnable Items

An item may be eligible for return if:
  • It arrives damaged or defective
  • You receive the wrong product
  • The item has a significant issue not mentioned in the description
  • To request a return, you must notify us within 48 hours of receiving the product.

    ✘ Non-Returnable Items

    We do not accept returns for:
  • Vintage, handcrafted, or one-of-a-kind pieces (unless damaged on arrival)
  • Perfume oils, fragrance products, or personal care items
  • Textiles such as Kantha, Suzani, or handloom fabrics unless damaged
  • Customized or personalized orders
  • Items purchased on sale or part of special collections
  • Minor variations in color, texture, or finish that arise naturally from handmade processes
  • Handmade irregularities are considered a mark of authenticity, not flaws.

    2. Return Request Process

    If your product qualifies for a return:

    1. Email us at Info@rasamulastudio.com within 48 hours
    2. Include:
      • Order number
      • Photos/video of the product and packaging
      • Description of the issue
    3. Our team will review the request within 2–4 business days
    4. Once approved, we will share the return instructions and shipping details.

    3. Condition of Returned Items

    To be eligible for replacement or refund, items must:
  • Be unused and in their original condition
  • Include all original packaging, tags, and accessories
  • Be shipped back within 7 days of return approval
  • Items returned in damaged or used condition will not be accepted.

    4. Refunds

    Refunds are processed only after we receive and inspect the returned item.
    Refund Options:
  • Store Credit (default) — processed within 3–5 business days
  • Refund to Original Payment Method — processed within 7–10 business days, if applicable
  • Shipping fees, customs duties, or taxes are non-refundable.
    We reserve the right to refuse refunds that do not meet policy criteria.

    5. Replacements & Exchanges

    If an eligible product is available in stock, we may offer:
  • A replacement of the same item
  • An exchange for another product of equal or higher value (shipping charges may apply)
  • If the item is unique and cannot be replaced, we will process a refund or store credit as applicable.

    6. Damaged or Lost Shipments

    If your order arrives visibly damaged, please document the condition immediately and contact us within 48 hours.
    If the shipment is lost in transit:
  • We will coordinate with the courier
  • A replacement or refund will be offered based on the investigation outcome
  • 7. Cancellation Policy

    Orders may be cancelled within 12 hours of purchase if not yet shipped.
    Once an order is packed or dispatched, cancellations are not possible.
